Traditional Music

Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious. — Psalm 66

We believe that music is an integral part of worshipping God. We also believe that the time-honored, traditional music of the church is most suited to creating an atmosphere of worship.

The music we choose sets the tone of our worship. The worship service is a sanctuary from the cares and evil of the world. Music like today's contemporary praise music does not elevate our worship above common, worldly pleasure. Furthermore, worship music must be edifying to the saints. Traditional hymns and gospel songs have a rich language taken from the most important truths of our faith.

We will continue to worship our Saviour with hymns by great men and women of God like Isaac Watts, Fanny Crosby and Phillip Bliss. We invite you to join us in praising our Lord in song.
